What Do Dermal Fillers Feel Like?
The treated area will feel different after your injections. It will likely seem fuller than usual due to the presence of the filler and post-treatment swelling. Some tenderness is also to be expected, particularly when the cheeks and temples have been injected.
These sensations usually subside within a few weeks. You’ll get used to the added volume and won’t pay much attention to it after a while. In the case of lip fillers, you probably won’t feel them when you press your lips together. Kissing should also feel pretty normal after fillers.
Is It Normal To Have Lumps After Filler?
Lumps are relatively common following dermal filler injections. They will often go away on their own as the filler integrates into the skin.
Careful techniques, such as using a microcannula, can minimize the risk of lumps. Taking steps to prevent bruising before and after your appointment can also help support a smooth result.
If the lumps do not dissipate after several weeks, you may need a follow-up appointment. Fortunately, lumps from hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase injections.
