Preparing ahead of time for Belotero treatment can help ensure optimal results. Before receiving your injections, we recommend patients do the following:

• Quit smoking for at least six weeks before treatment.
• Minimize alcohol consumption.
• Avoid blood thinning medications that can increase bleeding.
• Avoid using Retinol-based products and other skin care products.
• Avoid sun exposure, exfoliants, tweezing, and other skin irritants.

There is no downtime required after a Belotero treatment. Patients can return to work or school almost immediately after receiving Belotero injections. For the first several days, mild swelling, redness, and bruising may occur at the injection site. The results from Belotero injections can be seen immediately.

However, to optimize your results, we recommend patients stick to the following:

• Avoid strenuous exercise for 48 hours post-treatment.
• Avoid facials or saunas for 48 hours after your treatment.
• Avoid alcohol for the next 48 hours to reduce the risk of bruising.
