What is CareCredit?

CareCredit credit card | Miami Skin and VeinCareCredit is a credit card designed solely for healthcare purposes. You may use your available credit here at Miami Skin and Vein, or at any other provider who accepts this form of payment.

Is your treatment covered by insurance?

At Miami Skin and Vein, we want to make care as accessible as possible. Medicare and most major insurances are accepted in our office and do cover non-cosmetic vein disease. Prior to your medically eligible service, we are happy to work with you to determine if coverage is available and, if so, to what extent.

Medical eligibility

Most insurance companies extend benefits for physician consultation and diagnostics for vein procedures. The treatment of problematic veins is typically covered when deemed medically necessary. Preauthorization is a standard requirement for vein procedures, which our dedicated preauthorization staff can obtain once medical necessity has been established.

The requirements for medical necessity vary from one policy to another. In general, this requirement is established when venous disease or varicose veins interfere with daily activities or a patient's ability to work. Symptoms such as skin changes, ulceration, phlebitis, and pain are typically also considered medically relevant.

If you're like many people, you put off the treatments you would like until you have the money to pay in full with cash. Often, that time seems to never come. Put your needs front and center!
